Q: What is GAMS?
A: GAMS is Morehouse
School of Medicine's grants management system. It is used for
creating and managing proposals and managing awards. See GAMS

Q: Should I be Using GAMS
to create my proposal?
A: As of July 1, 2004, GAMS must be used
for all grant applications seeking support for basic, clinical,
or community-based research and service, and other sponsored
activities. Currently, this excludes solicitations to foundations
and other corporations not related to research.

Q: Where do I submit my
grant for editing and how do I submit it?
A: Ms. Angela Wimes in the Office of Sponsored
Programs is the Editor for the institution and she reviews all
proposals. You can send your proposal via e-mail to wimea@msm.edu.
Q: Who will review my budget?
A: Your budget is reviewed
in the Office of Sponsored Programs as part of the electronic
proposal routing process.
Q: Where do I go to get
a Letter of Intent?
A: Dr. Brenda Hayes in the
Office of Sponsored Programs is the Director of Proposal Development
and she can help you with this process.
Q: Where do I go to find
information about (CRC) Clinical Research Center Requirements?
A: Dr. Priscilla Johnson, Administrative Director,
can help you with information regarding (CRC) requirements.
